UoK Holds Rank for the 2nd Consecutive Year in Green Metric Ranking

Based on the latest results of the surveys made by Green Metric in 2019 regarding sustainable development in academic and research institutes around the world, University of Kashan along with University of Zanjan, University of Isfahan, University of Gilan, and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad were placed in top 500 universities of the world in terms of green policies.

Based on the reports from the MSRT’s public relations office, GreenMetric evaluates institutions based on 6 major factors, namely setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation, and education and research.

The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia launched in 2010. The aim of this ranking is to provide the result of online survey regarding the current condition and policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in the Universities all over the world. It is expected that by drawing the attention of university leaders and stake holders, more attention will be given to combating global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation. In this year’s results, University of Zanjan with an overall score of 7275 is ranked 50^th, University of Kashan with a 6550 score is placed 107^th and University of Isfahan with a total score of 5500 has been placed 220 worldwide.
